At VitalityMD, we don’t hand out one-size-fits-all plans. Your weight loss program is built around your personal health history, metabolic profile, and if desired, your genetic makeup. Every plan is medically supervised by our experienced physicians and nurses.
We focus on more than just the number on the scale. Our approach is designed to reduce inflammation, improve energy, and support your long-term health.

Clients often come to us after trying to lose weight on their own, frustrated that exercise and dieting haven’t worked. We look at the whole picture; including hormones, lifestyle, and even medications like biologics that can impact progress.

What Makes Our 90-Day Program Different?
Most programs focus on weight loss. Ours focuses on body transformation, fat loss, muscle retention, energy improvement, and metabolic health; all backed by real medical oversight.
At VitalityMD, your plan starts with a complete health and lifestyle review. From there, we build a strategy that’s specific to your goals, lab results, and even your genetic profile, if you choose to include DNA testing.
You’ll have weekly appointments and full access to our clinical team, either in person or virtually. Progress is tracked not just by weight, but through Styku 3D body imaging, which gives you a clear picture of how your fat mass, visceral fat, and lean muscle are changing over time.
Here’s what’s included:
- Weekly 1:1 appointments with our medical team
- Styku 3D scans to measure fat loss, muscle gain, and body shape changes
- Blood work panels at the start and end of your program
- Vitamin-based fat-burning injections administered weekly
- Customized meal and supplement plans, tailored from your lab results
- Full nutrition and lifestyle coaching, including realistic exercise plans
- Access to prescription weight loss medication, including Ozempic when appropriate
- Educational workbook to help you stay focused and informed
- Exclusive savings on Emsculpt Neo for enhanced body shaping
This isn’t about crash diets or quick fixes. It’s a medically supported strategy to help you lose fat, protect muscle, and feel good in your body again.
Microdosing GLP-1 for Weight Loss - First in Canada
At VitalityMD, we’ve pioneered a microdosing protocol for GLP-1 medications that helps you lose weight without the side effects of standard dosing. It’s designed to reduce appetite, support blood sugar regulation, and improve metabolic function; all while preserving lean muscle.
Traditional GLP-1 treatments often lead to muscle loss. Microdosing, by contrast, offers a more controlled and sustainable approach. When paired with Emsculpt Neo, which builds muscle while reducing fat, the results go beyond the scale. You’ll feel stronger, more energized, and better balanced.
We’re proud to be the first clinic in Toronto and possibly in Canada to offer this advanced protocol.
What makes microdosing GLP-1 different?
- Supports fat loss without compromising muscle
- Helps regulate insulin and blood sugar
- Promotes better appetite control
- Improves body composition when combined with Emsculpt Neo
- Reduces visceral fat, the deeper fat linked to inflammation and hormonal imbalance
This is a smart option for anyone looking to lose weight while maintaining strength, energy, and performance — especially if you’ve struggled with crash diets or heavy medication dosing in the past.

What Makes VitalityMD’s Program Different?
Most weight loss programs focus on food and exercise. We go deeper.
At VitalityMD, we address the real reasons weight is hard to lose; and even harder to keep off. That means looking at your hormones, lifestyle, mindset, sleep, and even the chemicals hiding in your environment that make fat loss harder.
Here’s what we take into account:
- Calorie balance, but with a focus on nutrient density
- Low glycemic eating, to stabilize insulin and avoid cravings
- Obesogens and toxins, which can silently affect metabolism
- Food sensitivities, which can drive inflammation and bloating
- Stress, sleep, and recovery, which affect your body’s ability to burn fat
- Hormone balance, including:
- Estrogen
- Progesterone
- Testosterone
- Thyroid hormones
- Cortisol
- Insulin
- Leptin
- Growth hormone
- Estrogen
We also look at the mind-body connection. That includes the emotional blocks, self-sabotage patterns, and mental roadblocks that diets usually ignore. Visualization, support, community, and physical activity all play a role.
This is not a solo journey.
At your first consultation, we’ll walk you through every step of the program. You’ll get emotional support, educational resources, and weekly check-ins where we review your diet journal, track your weight and measurements, and answer every question.
Our team is here to keep you focused, motivated, and moving forward; not just for 90 days, but for life after that too.

Genetic Testing for Smarter Weight Loss
Not sure which diet actually works for your body?
Low carb, keto, low fat, plant-based; it’s no wonder people get stuck.
At VitalityMD, we offer DNA-based weight loss testing to help you cut through the confusion. With a simple saliva swab, we analyze how your body responds to nutrition, exercise, and supplements. You’ll learn:
- What type of diet supports your specific metabolism
- Whether you process carbs, fats, caffeine, and alcohol efficiently
- How your body reacts to Omega-3s and other key nutrients
- Which training style helps you lose fat and build strength
- Why certain cravings or behaviors may be more difficult for you
People who follow a diet based on their DNA have been shown to lose up to twice as much weight compared to those using generic plans.
Dealing with stubborn weight?
Some people are genetically more likely to store toxins that interfere with metabolism. These are known as obesogens, and they can block your body’s ability to release fat.
We can run additional testing to assess your detox pathways and measure toxin buildup using our Toxic Core Panel. Once we know what your body is holding onto, we can create a detox plan that supports deeper weight loss and long-term health.
If you’re doing all the right things and still not seeing results, it’s time to look at your biology.
Book your genetic consult today and personalize your path to weight loss.
Diagnostic Testing Options
At VitalityMD, we offer a wide range of optional diagnostic tests to help tailor your weight loss plan more precisely. These tools give us deeper insight into how your body functions; and what might be holding you back from losing weight or feeling your best.
Depending on your needs, your provider may recommend:
- Hormone assessments
- Body composition analysis
- Metabolic and insulin resistance panels
- Gut health evaluations (including CDSA and stool testing)
- Genetic testing for weight loss, detox pathways, methylation, and more
- Organic acids testing
- Micronutrient panels
- Advanced cardiac testing (including PLAC and advanced lipid profiles)
- Omega-3 Index
- SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth) testing
**Note: Some tests are not included in the base program and may involve additional fees. Your provider will explain what’s recommended and why during your consultation.**

Why Is Losing Weight So Much Harder Now?
If the old tricks stopped working, you’re not imagining it. Your metabolism has likely changed and it’s one of the biggest reasons weight loss gets harder over time.
Changes in belly fat, hormone levels, aging, or lifestyle can shift how your body burns and stores energy. One of the biggest culprits? Insulin resistance.
What is insulin and why does resistance matter?
Insulin is a hormone that helps your body move glucose (sugar) from your bloodstream into your cells, where it’s used for energy. When your body becomes insulin resistant, that system breaks down.
Here’s what happens:
- Glucose builds up in your blood instead of entering your cells
- Your cells feel “starved,” even though you have energy available
- Your brain tells you to eat more, especially carbs
- Your body starts storing more fat and burning less of it
Insulin resistance creates a perfect storm for weight gain especially belly fat and makes it nearly impossible to lose weight through diet and exercise alone.
Why does this matter for your plan?
If we don’t address insulin resistance, fat loss stalls and frustration builds. At VitalityMD, we identify whether insulin resistance is part of your weight puzzle, and build a strategy that targets it directly through nutrition, medication, supplements, and lifestyle changes that reset how your metabolism works.
What Causes Insulin Resistance?
Insulin resistance doesn’t happen overnight. It develops over time due to a mix of lifestyle, genetics, and internal imbalances. Here are some of the most common contributors:
- Visceral fat (fat stored around your organs and deep in the belly)
- Ethnic background (higher risk in Latino, African American, Native American, and Asian populations)
- Aging (your body becomes less sensitive to insulin as you get older)
- Nutrient deficiencies (especially low levels of magnesium, vitamin D, and B12)
- Certain medications, including:
- Antidepressants
- Steroids
- Birth control pills
- Antipsychotics
- Antihistamines
- Beta blockers
- Metabolic syndrome, which is essentially advanced insulin resistance and a major risk factor for heart disease and diabetes
Common Signs You Might Have It
If you’re experiencing any of the following, insulin resistance could be a factor:
- Constant sugar cravings
- Brain fog or trouble focusing
- Fatigue after meals, especially carbs
- Increased hunger, even after eating
- Mood swings or irritability
How Do You Know for Sure?
We check for insulin resistance using several clinical markers:
- Elevated fasting blood sugar
- High triglycerides
- Low HDL cholesterol
- Elevated blood pressure (above 135/85)
If your labs show two or more of these signs, your body may already be struggling with insulin sensitivity. We can help you confirm it, treat it, and start turning things around.
Increased Waist Size: A Sign of Insulin Resistance
(More than 35" for women and 40" for men)
When your waistline expands, it’s often not just about diet. It’s a signal your metabolism is shifting and insulin resistance is usually the reason.
Here’s what’s happening: your body has plenty of sugar in the blood, but your cells aren’t absorbing it properly. They send out hunger signals, telling your brain to eat more carbs. You feel tired, foggy, craving sugar. Then blood sugar spikes… and crashes. Repeat.
This cycle leads to:
- More belly fat
- Slower metabolism
- Less energy, even after eating
- Shakiness or irritability between meals
Despite eating less (or healthier), your body thinks it’s in survival mode. It stores fat, especially around the midsection, and burns fewer calories. That’s how you can gain weight even if your habits haven’t changed.
Other Signs You Might Have Insulin Resistance
Not sure if insulin resistance could be an issue for you? These subtle but common symptoms are often overlooked:
- No appetite in the morning – Skipping breakfast isn’t always a choice. Insulin resistance can blunt your natural hunger signals.
- Brain fog – Struggling to focus or feeling mentally sluggish can be tied to unstable blood sugar.
- Bloating – Digestive discomfort, especially after meals, is a red flag.
- Puffy or swollen feeling – Elevated insulin levels cause your body to hold onto sodium and water.
- Sleep troubles – Blood sugar dips overnight can wake you up, and alcohol only makes it worse.
If these symptoms sound familiar, you’re not alone. The good news? Once identified, insulin resistance is something you can manage and even reverse with the right tools.
Another Reason You Might Be Gaining Weight: Leptin Resistance
Let’s talk about leptin. It’s a hormone made by your fat cells, and its job is simple—tell your brain when you’ve had enough to eat. More body fat should mean more leptin signaling. In theory, this should stop you from overeating.
But here’s the catch: that signal breaks down when you consume a high-carb, high-sugar, processed diet. Your brain stops listening, even if leptin levels are high. That’s what we call leptin resistance. You’re full, but your brain still thinks you’re starving.
Fructose, especially from high-fructose corn syrup, is a major disruptor. It makes your brain less responsive to leptin. Same goes for high triglycerides—they block leptin from crossing into the brain at all. So even if your body is sending the signal, it never gets received.
It gets worse. Certain foods like wheat, barley, and rye can actually block leptin receptors in the brain. And if you’re dealing with chronic inflammation (which is common in people who are overweight), that can bind to leptin and prevent it from working properly too.
What this means is: even with plenty of fuel in the tank, your brain still says “eat.” That’s the cycle so many people are stuck in.
So, what helps? A low-carb or low-glycemic diet reduces triglycerides and improves leptin sensitivity. But starving yourself with a very low-calorie diet can backfire—it lowers leptin production, which increases hunger. You know that feeling when you barely eat all day and then suddenly can’t stop? That’s leptin kicking in.
Understanding how your body’s hormone signals actually work is key to breaking the cycle and making weight loss sustainable.
What Causes Leptin Resistance?
Several factors can disrupt your leptin signaling and leave you feeling constantly hungry, even when your body has enough fuel:
- High-fructose corn syrup (HFCS)
- Chronic stress
- Diets high in refined or simple carbs
- Poor sleep quality
- Elevated insulin levels
- Overeating
- Grain lectins (found in wheat, barley, rye)
- Hormonal imbalances
- Certain medications like antidepressants
- Unresolved emotional trauma
At VitalityMD, we build personalized weight loss programs that address the root causes; including hormone and metabolic imbalances like leptin resistance.
