I have been with Dr. Caplan for over 25 years. She delivered my children and was our family doctor for many years. I left the clinic for a short time when she transitioned into wellness medicine, and I regretted that decision almost immediately. I eventually came back to Vitality MD because, honestly, Dr. Caplan is the only doctor I have come across who is willing to discuss both western and holistic medicine in a thoughtful and balanced way.
She truly takes the time to dig deep and help her patients instead of rushing through appointments. The wonderful ladies at the clinic are also amazing, especially Yalda, the clinic coordinator, who took great care of me during my treatments. She is friendly, easy to talk to, incredibly patient, and always made me feel comfortable and supported. Everyone at the clinic is kind, understanding, and genuinely helpful.
I can confidently say that I will never leave Dr. Caplan and Vitality MD again.

I had an excellent experience at the clinic and, during a zoom appt,, and most of that is due to Lyian’s outstanding care and professionalism. She is incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and took the time to explain everything in such a clear, meaningful, and reassuring manner. Her expertise and compassionate approach made me feel informed, supported, and confident throughout the process. Because of the positive experience I had with Lyian, I have recommended and spoken highly of the clinic to many other women through podcasts and webinars. On my arduous health optimization journey I stumbled across Vitality MD and I am so grateful that I did. I was looking for a place to help me look and feel better inside and out and that is exactly what I found when I walked through the doors of Dr. Caplan's clinic. Dr. Caplan's experience and breadth of knowledge is unmatched. She exudes professional calm and is incredibly well versed in all things perimenopause. I finally feel so optimistic about the future and my health. Her approach to functional medicine and treating the root of issues was a refreshing change for me. From a gynecological standpoint I finally felt seen, heard, and held for the first time in a long time.

I'd like to share my great experience at VitalityMD! Dr. Shari, Yalda and Dana had been very supportive in my health optimization goals. Emsella and Exomind are quite revolutionary for a non-invasive treatment. Both are comfortable, no downtime, and short appointment times.
Exomind will be my favourite since, I have felt the difference right away. I did not have an expectation to see any results right away but I did! After the first appointment I felt like I just woke up so well-rested and my mind clear. Since perimenopause symptoms of brain fog and excess fatigue have kicked in last year, a restful mind was a welcome surprise. After a few weeks of treatment, it is much easier to fall asleep and staying asleep for longer hours was very much appreciated. It has improved my mood and is less anxious in trying to not feel so tired all the time.
Emsella have improved my pelvic muscles in such a way that while I still have cramps is less painful. I feel like I can hold my bladder longer that I don't have to worry about washroom access.

We completed a 12 week medical weight loss program with this private clinic in Ontario, and the experience exceeded our expectations.
Our 17 year old daughter had been struggling to lose weight despite working out 13–15 hours a week and maintaining a reasonably healthy diet. Knowing that our local GP in New Brunswick would not prescribe weight loss medications, I started looking for alternatives and found this clinic.
What stood out immediately was their thorough, responsible approach. Before prescribing anything, they completed extensive blood work to rule out underlying medical issues that could have been preventing weight loss. Only once everything came back clear did we move forward.
The program included weekly follow ups and very gradual dose increases, which helped keep side effects minimal and made the process feel safe and well monitored. After 12 weeks, our daughter was down 21 pounds and 12.5 inches.
We are continuing with the program for maintenance and ongoing support.
I also decided to join my daughter on this journey. I had about 15 pounds of menopausal weight that I simply could not lose on my own. These medications have truly been a game changer for me. One unexpected but very welcome change was my energy level, I used to need daily naps, and I haven’t needed one since starting this program. While we haven’t completed our post program blood work yet, I fully expect improvements in my cholesterol and other markers based on how I feel and the progress so far.
Beyond the results, the support made a huge difference. The weekly meetings, the consistent follow up, and the overall sense that we were being carefully guided through the process made us feel comfortable and well cared for every step of the way.

Came to VitalityMD for treatment of my Penile LS. With the sate of my condition, I was in a lot of daily discomfort/pain and did not have much hope of getting better. After three sessions of micro needling I am seeing some promising results. The tissue is a lot healthier and I experience much less pain as a result, finally some much needed hope. Dr. Caplan and her staff are very knowledgeable and great at what they do, in my case I worked with Yalda and she was fantastic. I am very grateful that I came across VitalityMD and for the work that they do. Highly recommended!

Dr Caplan really knows her stuff. I was really impressed with my wellness appointment and genetic review, and the results of a recent procedure. I also like that I can get so many boxes checked in one visit; I was able to get a vitamin D shot, have a treatment upstairs, get my vitals checked, and stock up on supplements in one afternoon. The next time I go back, I'm getting an iron infusion during a consult with the nurse, after another medispa treatment! The environment feels shame-free and supportive, and I like that not only do I get to see one of Toronto's top doctors, but Dr Caplan is also an expert in integrative medicine and skillfully combines her knowledge. This definitely sets her apart from the rest. Highly recommended.

I have been going to Vitality MD for over 1 year. Dr. Caplan has treated me for Lichen Sclerosus. Her treatments have helped tremendously. She is kind and attentive & very caring. She, along with her nurse Shannea have also seen me for Wellness appointments and bio-identical hormones. They have both been amazing in their care. The office is immaculate. I walked in to this place and asked some questions at the front desk and wanted to know of their service and the female ( she looked to be brown) was acting like a mean girl and instead of helping me by answering my questions she unnecessarily went ahead and suggested I fix my double chin that respectfully doesn’t even exist. She purposely suggested that to make me feel less than her Botox self and made me feel super disrespected. I don’t appreciate plastic people suggesting me to get anything done. I hope this place can train their employees better in order to assist customer and build their business rather than lose customers.

I had a consultation with dr. Shari gynaecologist, & she suggested that I get a procedure done with her for the issue that’s been bothering me. So I decided to try something different this time instead of medications & moisturizers that does seem to help. It seems it’s working but I need to wait 3 months for final result as the dr said.
The staff is very kind, especially Dana, the medical aesthetician who does my sessions. Super nice & she explain everything in details while doing the session. She is a very joyful person with a beautiful smile on her face always. You also feel her honesty with her words in any questions you ask.
I would come back especially for her. I want to try her facials and other stuff she does.

I had a great experience at Vitality MD. Everyone is friendly and very professional especially Yalda. I can’t say enough of her she really is the sweetest and kind and professional person I have ever met. She made my experience totally different I was always skeptical of doing some procedures but Yalda was very passionate she explained everything to me and helped me through it I trust her and trust everything she says. Before I came to VitalityMd, I had insomnia from itching, burning due to LS. I couldn't sit properly. I started avoiding social situations because of the discomfort. I invested in different creams and use to carry a pillow around for sitting. Coming to after my LS treatment at vitalityMD: Dr. Caplan is the most knowledgeable dr about LS I met in the last 40 years. I don't have to carry around the pillow anymore. I reduced the barrier creams by three quarters and I never wake up at night with burning and itching. My bowl movements are no longer bleeding. The staff are kind and generous with their time and explanation. Yalda is very professional, kind, empathetic, Pretty and youthful :)

Years ago, I had a great functional medicine doctor who retired. I sought a replacement of her caliber and found Dr. Caplan on Google. My experience was far from satisfactory.
The initial call with Vitality was more of a high-pressure sales pitch than a medical consultation. They requested my credit card details up front, charging $100 for the intake call and an additional $650 for the doctor’s appointment. Bloodwork included tests not covered by OHIP, costing another $130. Despite being willing to spend this much for quality care, I was disappointed.
During my first appointment, Dr. Caplan reviewed my bloodwork while using a pointy keychain to “energetically receive information.” She mentioned things like “yogurt might be okay, but not cottage cheese,” explaining that this practice was similar to using the internet for information.
My bloodwork revealed thyroid antibodies and high inflammation markers—information that a regular physical could have provided for free. Dr. Caplan also sold me supplements she claimed would reduce inflammation.
I expressed concerns about my inability to sleep without aids and my desire to stop using them. She recommended progesterone, despite my ob/gyn having previously discontinued it after a uterine ablation and Mirena IUD insertion. Dr. Caplan assured me up to 300 mg of progesterone was safe.
After starting progesterone, my cycle returned and I experienced nearly a month of continuous bleeding. When I contacted the office, I was told Dr. Caplan was on vacation and I could only get a $150 telephone appointment a month later. I declined and was offered a $150 nurse consultation, which was eventually waived.
The nurse, unsure of what to do, consulted Dr. Caplan, who suggested the symptoms might be due to too much estrogen and advised reducing progesterone to 100 mg per day. I had to pay $300 for a follow-up appointment. Meanwhile, my ob/gyn advised stopping progesterone, which resolved my symptoms.
I requested my bloodwork results from Vitality, but they only sent partial results and said I would have to contact Life Labs for the rest. Overall, this experience was expensive, unsatisfactory and ultimately useless. I do not recommend this clinic.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Caplan and her team!! Dr. Caplan is always investigating ways to help her patients in a meaningful and long lasting way. I have learned a lot about the changes that post-baby/peri-menopause can bring and the choices I have in treatments thanks to her. She is super caring, knowledgable and approachable. I have complete faith in trusting my health to her. the work she does is lifechanging! Thank you Dr. Caplan for truly caring!

I want to express my gratitude meeting such an incredibly caring and knowledgeable medical practitioner Tanya who helped me with my condition when I was in a situation not even knowing who to turn to in terms of our OHIP services and medical care. Had an unpleasant conversation with the nurse on staff, Tanya Thompson, regarding making a booking. The front desk was not knowledgable about the requirements needed to go forward with the appointment and the nurse required me to go to my doctor for forms to be sent or spend an additional $100 for administrative costs. When I said that I had spoken with the administrative staff on three separate occasions about what was needed, she was dismissive and rude. She even complained about having to make the call on her lunch break (a call time that I did not sent myself.)
My concern is that is the nurse is this aggressive on the phone, what must she be like if you have questions or concerns during your treatment. Very worrying!

I struggled with gut / digestive issues & was referred to Dr. K. Smith; and after a very thorough session she proscribed me some medication that over the span of 2 months that has completely turned my gut health around and i cannot be more thankful!

I am so grateful to Dr. Caplan. Words in fact cannot describe the magnitude of my gratitude towards her. She is absolutely marvelous and wonderfully personable. With her care, expertise, and listening ear she has treated me and given me my life back after struggling for some years with non-specific symptoms including terrible insomnia. Within a short period of time not only were my symptoms resolved, but my vibrant health has returned and I feel on top of the moon!

Dr Shari Caplan is a very knowledgeable and compassionate doctor who helped me to understand what was happening with my vaginal issue when no one else could. She is very knowledgeable in menopausal vaginal issues and I finally got the answers I needed because she is such a thorough doctor who understands and sympathizes. She’s been very patient with me and informative and all the staff at Vitality are extremely kind, the clinic is beautiful and comforting too.

Dr. Shari Caplan is an angel. I have spent several months suffering from a skin condition that most doctors do not know how to properly treat nor seem to fully understand. It has been devastating for me as a young woman. Dr. Caplan took the time to listen to me and after meeting with her I am feeling more hopeful. She is incredibly knowledgeable and I am looking forward to trying the treatment plan that she recommended. I trust that I am in good hands. She was very kind and I am extremely grateful to have found her. It is clear that she genuinely cares about her patients. The girls at the front desk were lovely as well and so helpful! I initially searched out the clinic as I was looking for a Naturopath. I scheduled a consultation, and discovered the this medical spa has so much more to offer than I had expected. I am finally able to heal my acne scars through Scarlet RF and Laser Genesis treatments, am decreasing my facial lines, and lifting and firming all without fillers, and then...there's the amazing O-Shot. Who ever knew! If you don't you should check it out.

Vitality MD was highly recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. The space is gorgeous, and the staff is lovely. I have had a few treatments, and they were all fantastic. This is my second review after doing O-Shot number 2 for my Interstitial Cystitis symptoms and I could not be happier with the results. Dr. Caplan was incredibly thorough with my follow up consultation after my first O-Shot and asked detailed questions about my post injection experience and timeline for symptom improvement. She has a knack for being sensitive and sympathetic while maintaining her sense of clinical professionalism and always offers multi-disciplinary advice such as diet changes and holistic options in conjunction with her own treatments. My first O-Shot yielded noticable symptom improvement from my ongoing urethral burning and inflammation, allowing me to sleep 3-4 hours without having to get up and pee. It also helped with daytime urinary urgency and frequency. During my second O-Shot, Dr. Caplan was even more specific in targeting her injections around and inside my urethral opening. I am now able to sleep 4-5 hours consecutively on most nights and sometimes as long as 6 hours without having to get up and pee. For those who have never had bladder issues, this may not seem significant but to anyone with a bladder disease this is monumental. Getting proper sleep affects everything from physical healing to relationships to psychological well being. I have had I.C. since my 20's and am currently 53. After trying numerous medications, pelvic floor physiotherapy, surgical procedures and countless other therapies, the O-Shot is the first solution I've found that has made a noticeable difference in my quality of life. I would urge anyone with a bladder or vaginal condition to meet with Dr. Caplan to discuss whether the O-Shot might help to alleviate their symptoms. I am now convinced that the O-Shot works for my Interstitial Cystitis symptoms and look forward to further improvement after my next injection. I believe that ongoing maintenance shots will continue to give me quality of life that I have been missing out on. Thank you so much to Dr. Caplan and her kind staff!

I have Interstitial Cystitis and decided to try the O-Shot with targeted injections to my outer urethral area where constant burning has been a symptom for 20+ years. It took a little longer than expected (about 8-10 weeks post injection), but the effects have been quite amazing. I can fall asleep most nights without feeling a constant inflammatory sensation in my urethra and during the day I am hardly aware of any burning at all. This symptom of my disease has improved by about 40 % after one injection and my urinary frequency and urgency has improved by about 20 %. I am anxious to meet with Dr. Caplan to book another O-Shot and hope to have compounded positive effects from the second injection. I would urge anyone with urinary disease to consider trying the O-Shot since it's the only thing that has made this much difference in my comfort since I was diagnosed with IC. The clinic is very professional and Dr. Caplan takes every patient's history into account to make suggestions that are best suited to them.
