Dr. Kirsten Smith

Dr. Smith has a diverse educational background. She originally received an honours degree in Communications from Queen’s University and later decided to pursue a career in Medicine. She studied premedical sciences and was subsequently accepted to Naturopathic Medical school.  She completed her 4-year Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine here in Toronto. Because of her thirst for knowledge, she did additional training in functional medicine, bioidentical hormone replacement, anti-aging medicine, infertility, intravenous vitamin therapy, oncology, biopuncture, botanical and environmental medicine.

While Dr. Smith treats acute illness such as colds and earaches, much of her time is spent working with those with chronic diseases to decrease or eradicate side-effects from medications, reduce symptoms, improve immune function and quality of life. In addition, she approaches each patient by prioritizing prevention and mitigating risk factors. Dr. Smith deeply respects the intricate intelligence between the body and the mind and between our internal and external environments, and how this is implicated in the art and science of healing. Dr. Smith is committed to a high standard of care with an evidence-based approach and works collaboratively with all manner of health care providers. 


Prior to becoming an ND, Dr. Smith worked for many years as a producer in television, radio and documentary film in current affairs and related programming. She worked and volunteered all over the world from Bangladesh to the Amazon, and learned about the formidable power of various ancient healing arts which inspired her to investigate naturopathic medicine and completely change her life.

Dr. Smith is a licensed, board-certified naturopathic doctor and is licensed to practice Intravenous Vitamin Therapy in the province of Ontario. She is also a member of both the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors  and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors .
